Due to the extremely dry conditions and subsequent high fire danger, Desha County Judge has placed Desha County under a temporary burn ban pursuant to County Court Order effective at 0700 AM 08/24/2023. All outdoor fires are prohibited during this time. Once we receive appreciable rainfall and conditions improve, the ban will be reevaluated.
