The Carl Brewer Gym received a new floor honoring Former Dumas Coach Van Holt as the new The Coach Van Holt Court. The Dumas Bobcat Alumni Association spearheaded the idea at a School board meeting working to make it a reality. Under his leadership, the Bobcats reached the state finals in 1985, 1987, 1991, 1993, 1994, and 1995, capturing state championships in 1993 and 1994 and earning a state runner-up finish in 1995.
