October 30, 2025 Desha county residents help us welcome our newest Desha County Deputy, Taylor Crook. Taylor has 2 1/2 years of certified experience, and lives in McGehee. He was sworn in yesterday by Desha County Judge Wayne Smith. Deputy Crook will be assigned to the patrol division. He has stepped up from a City Kitty to a County Mounty! We look forward to him jumping right in with the team and doing good work for the awesome folks of Desha County!
