Local officials continue to be concerned as more cases of COVID-19 are being seen in Desha County. According to the CDC, Desha County is currently one of sixteen counties in the state who have been labeled as having a "high" infection rate.

Formal charges filed against one suspect; Details released in Hood-Nic shooting

Formal charges were filed in Desha County Circuit Court Friday against one suspect involved in the March 19th shooting at the Dumas Hood-Nic car show. According to court records, Brandon Deandra Knight, age 22 of North Little Rock, has been formally charged with battery first degree and aggravated assault.
